Our Self Advocacy Training workshop teaches individuals how to effectively speak up for themselves and make decisions that affect their life and relationships.

Understanding Government

This workshop teaches participants about the political systems in place in Canada and their communities and how the system affects them and their communities.

About our workshops.

Our accessible, plain language workshops help teach life skills and keep people safe and informed.

Focusing on rights and self-advocacy, our many workshops teach participants important skills for everyday life. This ensures people with disabilities are less vulnerable and more likely to become engaged and empowered citizens who stay safe and make informed decisions. Always growing in demand, recent figures indicate SAIPA’s workshops were accessed more than 700 times annually. A recent survey respondent stated the workshops have changed the lives of people they support.

Our workshops aren’t only for people with disabilities. Anyone in the public is welcome to join including family members and support workers.
