SAIPA’s annual signature fundraiser which takes place for five days every June.
About Pie it Forward
Pie your friends, family and coworkers in the face to show your support for SAIPA and SRSAN!
Community members donate a minimum of $20 to send a pie to their target of choice as a friendly “pie in the face”. Volunteers deliver the pie to recipient, letting them know that they have been “pie’d”. The recipient has several options to keep the event fun and friendly and further support SAIPA!
Take the Pie to the Face!
Don’t worry, it’s just a plate of shaving cream! Our volunteer will cover the recipient in an apron to protect their clothing as well as cover the floor with a drape to prevent a mess, and then they will gently throw the pie in their face! We also come with supplies needed to clean up afterwards.
Donate $20 and enjoy a real pie
It’s as simple as it sounds! Not everyone enjoys having a face full of shaving cream, and would much rather eat a real pie.
Double the initial donation and send the pie back!
Start a bidding war! If the sender paid $20 to send the pie, you can send it right back for $40! It then can be doubled again by the original sender and they can send it back for $80! The highest bidder wins, and also has to pay the bid and the loser takes the pie! The loser at the end can also opt to buy a real pie for $20.
SAIPA is a non-profit organization which relies on funding from various sources to maintain its services in Lethbridge and Alberta’s south region. Due to the uncertain nature of the economy, the dependability of these sources can fluctuate. Funds raised from Pie It Forward allow SAIPA to continue delivering high-quality programming while meeting increasing demand.
Where does Pie it Forward take place?
The fundraiser extends throughout Lethbridge only. Pies can be sent to almost any location within the city, including workplaces, private homes, public buildings and schools.

We are always looking for donors/sponsorship’s to help offset fundraiser costs! We have sponsorship packages available to provide more information on how to participate, and also what perks come with your donation!
